What we collect, and what we don't.

This website

• No cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads. Every page, font and image comes from our own server. Nothing on the site calls out to a third party.
• Server logs. Like any web server, ours writes a line for each request: your IP address, the country it comes from, the page, the time, your browser type and the page that linked you here. Those logs are deleted after 14 days.
• Visitor counts. From the logs we keep totals, such as visits per page, which sites link to us and how many visitors came from each country. The totals hold no IP addresses and can't be traced to a person.
• Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which carries the connection between your browser and our server. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• The Field Course. Your check marks are saved in your own browser, on your device only. We never see them.

When you email us

We read it, reply to it and keep the conversation, the way anyone keeps their email. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share your address.

If you have a TAK account

• What's stored. Your username, your device certificates, and what your group shares: positions, chat, markers, routes and files. It's stored on our own servers in the United States, not in a public cloud.
• Who can see it. The people in your group. Each customer has a private group, so other customers never see you. The operator can see your group in order to help when something isn't working, and doesn't share it.
• The AI teammate. Requests you type to the AI teammate in your group are answered by a language model running on our own hardware. It only acts when someone asks it to and can't see outside your group.
• Mesh radios. LoRa radios broadcast over the air. Our team channel is encrypted, but anyone nearby with a receiver can tell that a radio is transmitting. Our base station records the positions of our own radios for up to six months. Other radios it happens to hear are only counted, never identified.
• When you leave. Your certificates are revoked and your accounts switch off. Ask, and we'll delete your group's data.

What we never do

We don't sell or rent anything about you, and we don't share it with anyone unless the law requires us to.
